The Saint Louis Art Museum has name Min Jung Kim its new director, making her the first woman to lead the institution in its 142-year history. Kim currently serves as the director and CEO of the New Britain Museum of American Art in Connecticut. Prior to leading that museum, she worked at the Guggenheim Museum in New York for more than a decade as director of content alliances. “I am excited to build upon the museum’s strong foundational base, get to know and partner with the diverse communities of St. Louis, and work with the talented team of the Saint Louis Art Museum in taking the institution to even greater heights,” Kim said in a statement.
